INDIANA’S SMOKE-FREE AIR LAW

Indiana is moving closer to becoming a tobacco-free state. Since July 1, 2012, Indiana has a state smoke-free air law.

This means more Hoosiers are protected from the dangers of secondhand smoke. Click here to review the Indiana smoke-free air law.

Many public places in the state, including restaurants and most workplaces, are smoke-free, but, the work is not done yet. There are a number of businesses that are exempt from the statewide law; these include bars, taverns, night clubs, casinos, private clubs such as fraternal and veterans’ organizations, and retail tobacco shops.

BreatheIndiana.com is designed to help Hoosiers understand the new law and to keep you informed of the changes and progress on this issue.
